General Rules
| ✦ | Do not commission me if you are under the age of 18. I will cancel your commission if I find out you are under age. |
| ✦ | Completed commissions are classified as "digital goods," meaning there will be no physical product and nothing will be shipped to you. |
| ✦ | Please don't remove my signature |
| ✦ | I may remove or reduce the opacity of watermarks at the commissioner's request, but please do not remove it yourself without my permission |
| ✦ | Please don't ever claim that you created artwork that I have made |
| ✦ | I reserve the right to decline any commission for any reason. |
| ✦ | I will not "copy" another artist's style, please don't ask. |

payment + fees
| ✦ | All prices are listed in USD, I will accept USD/CAD currencies only |
| ✦ | Please let me know if you would like to pay in CAD, there is no need to convert money twice if you're Canadian like me! |

| ✦ | All payments will be invoiced through stripe. Do not send me money directly. If you send me money directly, I will reject your commission immediately. |
| ✦ | Full payment is required immediately upon presentation of the initial sketch. If you would like to pay sooner, let me know and I will send the invoice in advance. |
| ✦ | In the case of auction, or pre-sketched work (YCH) the invoice must be paid within 24 hours of sending. If not, I will default to the next highest bidder. |
| ✦ | Full payment is due via invoice only upon acceptance by both parties. No further work will be done on the commission until the invoice is paid. |
refund ✦ policy
| ✦ | I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time, for any reason. If the commission is cancelled on my end, you will be entitled to a either a full or partial refund depending on the amount of work done on the piece up until that point. |
| ✦ | Amount refunded will depend on how much work has been completed so far; 70% during sketching stage, 50% during linework stage, 30% during the colour blocking stage, and 10% during the shading stage |
| ✦ | Please do not request a refund during the commission process. Please be certain that you want to order from me, and take care that you have the funds to cover the invoice |
| ✦ | Refunds will be issued only by me. I will not allow charge backs or disputes, you will be blacklisted and I won't work with you in future |
| ✦ | I will only issue a full refund before I begin work on a piece, however I do not typically accept payment before the sketch stage |
| ✦ | Cancelling the commission after the initial sketch is completed is fine, but you will still be invoiced 30% of what you were quoted for the project |
| ✦ | No refunds will ever be given for a completed piece. |
process + updates
| ✦ | For custom commissions, I will provide updates at the following stages; sketch, Linework, colour blocking, basic shading (before effects, adjustments & finalization). After that, the final piece will be delivered and the project will be concluded |
| ✦ | Aside from the initial sketch, there will be no WIP updates or approval process for experimental, wing-it style commissions or speedpaints |
| ✦ | For YCH and pre-sketched pieces, I will send two WIPs during the process. One will be sent upon sketch customization and refinement. A second WIP will be sent upon completion of flat colors. Any changes during the sketch stage will be completed in no more than two edit cycles. Any additional requests for edits after this stage will be denied. |
| ✦ | During custom commissions, there will will be 3 opportunities to request edits: twice for the sketch stage, and once during the colour blocking stage. There will be no edits made to linework. |
| ✦ | I will not move forward on a piece without your confirmation. If I do not receive the go-ahead from you, I will HALT work on the commission and you may get bumped back or lose your place in my queue |
| ✦ | After commission completion you will receive a large high res image file, and a smaller file formatted for social media |
| ✦ | Updates will be provided in two places; directly to the commissioner via their chosen channel (email or dm) and on my public trello queue |
edits + revisions
| ✦ | Stylistic edits will not be accepted. Please clarify in advance if you're going for more of a furry or anime style and review my gallery and previous works before choosing to hire me |
| ✦ | I make edits to projects all at once in batches, so please list everything you'd like changed together in one message |
| ✦ | I will go back and make an edit for free if I missed it or there was misunderstanding on my part |
| ✦ | If you're really keen on any additional edits, I will do them for $3 each (note, this will be per edit not edit CYCLE) A new invoice maay be sent to cover the fees. |
| ✦ | Large revisions (ex: character pose/composition) can ONLY be requested during the sketch stage, and no large revisions will be accepted for YCH commission |
| ✦ | Edits and changes may not be requested for any given stage after approval has been given for that stage so please take care to look over the work before I move on. |
| ✦ | For all pieces, I will only edit the finished piece if the commissioner and myself can agree that the changes are justified. Changes concerning character design fall under this category. Any changes such as these will be completed in no more than two additional edit cycles. Any additional edit requests will be denied. |
| ✦ | Any post-project edits should be requested within 24 final piece distribution. |
communication
| ✦ | Please clearly state your goal or intention in your initial email or message to me to save time and confusion. Simple "hi" or "hey" messages may get lost or ignored. |
| ✦ | Please be polite and professional in your communications. If you use guilt trips or manipulative language, I may cancel your commission or avoid working with you in the future |
| ✦ | Do not message me asking for a commission outside of when I open them. I will make announcements on bluesky, instagram, toyhouse and/or furaffinity when I am looking for work |
| ✦ | I sometimes take commissions via order forms for simplicity and organization, however, you are welcome to contact me directly if it makes you more comfortable |
| ✦ | Do not ask me multiple times in one day for updates! You can always view my public trello board for status updates if I'm not immediately available. |
| ✦ | All conversation relating to commissions will be over email or social media dms: |
usage ✦ rights
| ✦ | Completed pieces will be delivered via email or direct message on social media. I will not keep high resolution versions of completed artwork indefinitely. It's the responsibility of the commissioner to save and store finished artwork for their own use. |
| ✦ | I maintain all rights to my work, including online distribution and my own promotional uses |
| ✦ | You may not claim any of my art as your own. You must credit me if you would like to post a piece in your own gallery, and link the original post. |
| ✦ | You own all character rights for your ocs or designs you purchase from me, but I reserve some rights to the original artwork. (This means you cannot profit off my original artwork, but you may profit off the character's design by creating new art, such as for the purpose of apparel or a fursuit) |
| ✦ | My work is for personal or private use only. I do not allow my art to be used for commercial purposes or profit unless commercial usage is specifically requested by the commissioner and agreed to by both parties. |
| ✦ | If you plan to profit from my work, I may request an additional commercial fee and/or royalties. This should be discussed before the commission is started and will be treated on a case by case basis. |
adoptables & character designs
adoptables & character designs
| ✦ | Please follow all instructions underneath an adoptable post. |
| ✦ | Payment is expected within 24 hours of invoice creation. If the invoice is not paid within this time period, you will lose your claim on the adoptable and I may sell it to person with the next best offer |
| ✦ | Please credit me as the designer/creator wherever you upload the oc. My username is always bleatley. |
| ✦ | You may not turn any adoptable purchased into a closed species. |
| ✦ | You are free to modify the design HOWEVER you want. Gender, body type, species, colours, markings and patterns. They're yours now! |
| ✦ | Please do not claim the design as your own work - but you may absolutely take credit for edits done to the design |
ownership + transfers
| ✦ | You may trade, sell, or gift the design. |
| ✦ | Please only sell characters for higher than their original value if you have created or commissioned additional artwork |
| ✦ | I will not settle any future ownership disputes. Once a design is purchased, it is not my responsibility to act as a mediator in conflicts that don't involve me. |
| ✦ | I will reclaim designs in the case where I do not receive original payment for them or I receive a chargeback. I won't reclaim designs for breaking rules, however, I may decide not do business with you moving forward. |
